The MFX Project Methodology Our methodology makes medium and large scale projects manageable. Our expertise makes them highly efficient.
Even when working on expedited schedules, we adhere to a well-proven discipline designed to produce quality results. This methodology - which also ensures on-time, on-budget completion- is repeated in a 90 day cycle as follows:

  1. Inception — This is the information gathering phase, a critical step in defining the project. It assures that we understand correctly the goals of the project, the critical aspects, basic time lines and all priorities.

  2. Elaboration — In this phase we analyze our information and design the project. Working with you, our business analysts define system interactions. Our systems analysts create sequence diagrams, data models and object models. And our domain experts create use case documentation to guide our programmers.

  3. Construction — Because the first two phases of our methodology result in high quality input, this programming step goes rapidly. More importantly, the output is also high quality. Additionally, system level testing is completed during construction.

  4. Testing — To maintain a higher quality product, defect detection and removal occur at each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle. The testing process consists of four steps: set test entrance and exit criteria, develop test strategy and test plan, execute test scripts, report test results. In addition, the following types of testing are performed: System, Functional, Regression, Performance and Acceptance.

  5. Transition — The approved project is handed over to the client team. MFX conducts any training or transition activities contracted for with our customer.
