Senior Information Security Administrator

MFX is currently looking for a Senior Information Security Administrator to join their team located in Northern New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for defining and implementing security frameworks for new and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Responsible for system security planning, developing, and implementing security policies across multiple platforms.
  • Ensures successful implementation and maintenance of the defined standards.
  • Ensures compliance of IT Security Policies.
  • Provides support in development security management and security architect standards and documentation.
  • Manages and supports networking and security services in LAN, WAN and Internet network infrastructure.
  • Provides problem resolution and escalation.
  • Develops and maintains security documentation.
  • Develops innovative solutions for IT networks security.
  • Documents computer security and emergency measures policies and procedures, and tests.
  • Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security.
  • Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
  • Document computer security and emergency measures policies and procedures. And conducts period test of these documents.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of systems settings and user access entitlements and test compliance with established corporate standards.

Knowledge and Skills:

Requires advanced knowledge of security concepts, separation of duties, system security models and the ability to learn new processes quickly. Requires strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical staff and non-technical end users. Position requires a non-confrontational communication style and pleasant demeanor. Must be customer focused and always providing better alternatives to business users versus saying "No".

Education, Certifications, and Experience

  • 6 or more years of Mainframe system experience with one or more of the following security systems (ACF2, RACF, Top Secret).
  • 2 -4 years of MS-Windows 2000/2003/XP server, desktop system support and administration with a thorough understanding of the Active Directory security models, local system (server and workstations) user management and access controls.
  • 4 year college degree in the Sciences, Business Administration, or IT or the combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position.
  • Knowledge of system architectures, access controls, logging systems, and TSO commands.
